I've been addicted to milk tea lately.
But in all honesty, I am not a big fan of tea. Sometimes I indulge in a cup when the occasion arises. Iced tea however is a different story.
Odd I know. Should be the same. But I guess the analogy would be, more similarly on how I like hot meals than cold ones...well depends on the meal actually.
I am a fan of pasta.
I think I have tried all the pasta variety from Yellow Cab (and their pizza too)and a few from other establishments.
And I think it is one of the major reasons why it's one of the first things I learned how to cook / make. The main reason being able to feed the monsters I live with. SO in a way they were my Guinea pigs.
It is a well-known fact that I cannot cook.
As my friend Ian used to remind me, I over-cook water.
However, since living in the apartment, I have been experimenting. Just simple things I can cook. I started off with anything that falls under frying. LOL and then moved directly to pasta. Biased. I know.
Oddly colored aren't they?
Well the pink and brown doughnut toppings are not entirely that rare. But the green one? Martian. LOL
I can't say much anything about it. I wasn't brave enough to really try. I think my mother liked it though. And as slightly strange as my thoughts go whenever I see that shade of green (slimer, ninja turtle, witch potion...) it's oddly comforting. There is some "fun" in food today.
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate healthy food and I do tend to eat what's usually normal looking. However, there are days that a little flare wouldn't be unwelcome.
Met this little dude while accompanying my dad to check out a property.
The owner's grand daughter advised that Black Jack fell, thus the cast.
Despite the injury and the hindrance to his leg, he was definitely energetic and loved all the attention.
I love big dogs. But most of my life, I have lived with the less than average sized ones.
Currently my parents have very short dogs at home. As small as they are I'm sure they terrorize people.
And when you look at Black Jack's face, you can tell he's a hellion despite the cutey-cutey face. Sorry, I can't fall for that though, I live with a husky who has perfected "that face".
Guess what this is.
LOL
What comes to mind when I see this is uniformity.
I like the concept of the word.
Specially in school, when everyone has to wear the same outfit. Uniforms.
No matter how rich or poor, dumb or intelligent, strong or weak, silent or loud. Everyone would look the same. Figuratively everyone would be in the same footing.
Of course, there would be those who would instigate to show off their individuality. Which is more fine. Individuality is something to celebrate. In a way, it is a testament of ones existence.
In a way, too much placement on uniformity, kills individuality. Too much placement on individuality creates isolation.
Creating a balance would be the key I guess.
Everyone has to learn where and how to achieve their own balance.
Meet Mooo, Jimmy's trusty friend at the office.
I love stuff like this. I mean, sure I like efficient and simple designs. The spartan look is pretty...sleek and so techy and sooo pretty...I know. I'm getting carried away.
However, I really find it fascinating when I see something with a little more color in designs, as well as a little character to them.I mean, not a lot of people fancy the black sleek look or white, since it seems the be the trend...although I could be wrong.
Anyways, I like how more "friendly" and interesting a lot of designs are available these days. Added that with a lot of competitions, most brands sell them cheap.
I'm sure a lot of people would argue about authenticity, stability and let's not forget, rarity. Some people like being one of a few to possess...stuff.
I could respect that. However, counting into consideration, availability, cost, resources and usage, I'd say it really depends on a lot of things, and people should consider that before judging anything.
But that's me; my opinion. I don't really expect to be understood by everyone, just some. And that's more than enough.
Having a convenience store nearby the office building is pretty neat.
My team mate Jen bought a bag of candies for one of her kids from one of the convenience stores near the office and I got to have this shot before we all headed home.
One of these days, I would really really find the time and means to get a pretty decent shot of an awesome candy store. For now I wait for that candy store to pop up in Cebu or...maybe I'd find it randomly somewhere I'd be outside of the island. Who knows.
Here's to the candy house concept of Hansel and Gretel...just not including the witch part.
It's interesting having my camera with me almost at all times.
I get to take photos of something or anything that would fancy me or anything that captures my attention.
I don't take photos of people much. Some people doesn't like having their photos taken. I can understand, I don't like having my photos taken, which is why I have a camera, I like being behind it. =D
So often I take photos of inanimate objects or animals. And sometimes, I have photos of friends since I can ask them if it's okay I get a shot of them...or they're used to me taking unguarded moments.
Having my camera at the office and sometimes getting too busy with work, I got a lot of subjects lying around our work zone...just like the two mice in this photos.
There are mornings, specially on weekends that I would brave the sun.
This photo was taken on one of those mornings.
I went to the Manila Memorial Grounds in Liloan, Cebu to walk off my 5-day stress from work.
Added that it's summer (note that it's summer in an already tropical country)...I was sweating buckets and I wasn't even half way through the outer path of the entire cemetery.
I am glad to say I wasn't the only one taking advantage of the quiet grounds. A few joggers and runners as well as old ladies were there to exercise on a Saturday.
My team mates and I often have lunch or dinner together at a "silogan" place in IT Park since it's a rather affordable place and yes, I do have a thing for having breakfast food for dinner,
The place looks a little run down but pretty much crowded.
I took this photo while waiting for our order...just right above where I was sitting.
Who doesn't love ice cream?
My father is an avid fan of ice cream despite having a slight allergic reaction to icy food.
With that in mind, it's only natural that my sister and I are inclined to love ice cream as well. The flavor however is debatable.
With all the flavors available out there and the different brand of ice cream to consider, I think I have fallen to Gellatissimo's Forrest Berries.
Sure. I love the chocolate flavors they have as well. But nothing beats Forrest Berries. I guess it could be attributed to the fact it's the only flavor I haven't tasted from other brands. Or it reminds me of Haws candy. You know, that candy we used to pretend was the host used during mass since we were too young to understand the meaning as well as participating in partaking the body of Christ. (Yes I too have normal imaginations sometimes.
The ice cream is a little expensive. So in a way I'm glad. It's one way to curb cravings in having it every day. LOL
I can't wait to get my next cup.
