173 - Heart

Here's another thing I have only tried out during Uni.
I mean, sure I see "puso" (Heart) when I was younger and in Tacloban City.

But I have only tried eating this packed rice concept during Uni.
I have to say that it was a novelty. My mother never let me try to eat rice via the wrapped sort, only ones cooked at home.

This is a very vivid reminder of a stage of my life that was more on exploration, discovery, friendship, strength, individuality and independence. A lot of lessons learned.

Now that I am working. I don't often have this. And I do prefer to cook rice at home than buying puso for dinner or lunch. Both for the fact that it's less costly as well as I like that I no longer burn water as Ian used to say. (Although I use a rice cooker)

(Yes Noks, I now know how to heat stuff HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

172 - Peach Mango Pie

Peach Mango Pie is addiction.
I try to stay away from it, by not going to Jollibee which I am happy to say seems to be working. But whenever I do visit I get these little addictions to go.

This is making me hungrier.

171 - Pink on Pink

I remember the first or original Tanduay Ice that was available.
A group of us actually went hunting for it during my birthday.

From Ayala to IT Park, we ended up at Mango Avenue, to a bistro that's currently no longer there. I don't remember its name. but I remember going there during uni, where a friend played on the band performing. Those were fun times.

And now, the bistro has been replaced by a large commercial building and Tanduay Ice now comes in many colors...flavors. This isn't the latest one out there. I do believe there's a peach and black label but haven't tried those yet.

I still like it. The different flavors are interesting and for now I still like the Red Mirage one aside from the original. But we'll see since I haven't tried the other 2 ones I mentioned before.

From Red horse to this. LOL
I guess with age comes a time where I admit to have mellowed out.
I'm okay with it though. Not feeling...disappointed or down or even nostalgic. Sure I recall how I can drink more than I should have, but that was then. I'm happy with my colorful drinks.

170 - Ngohiong

The first time I ever had Ngohiong was during my third year in Uni. I remember a lot of of my friends like eating them.

Since I'm not really a fan of anything that's related to lumpia...and nhogiong looks like a large version of fried lumpia, I wasn't too keen in testing it out.

First taste ever was at the VOT office, the staff bought a large bag of Nhohiong and brought it to our basement office for a short break.

I remember Windstone telling me I ought to give it a try before I make a decision not to ever eat it. So I snatched the one in his hand and ate it.

Can't forget how speechless he was all of a sudden. LOL

I mean I don't normally just grab someone's food and specially one he was already trying to finish off. I don't even remember why I did it.

To make the long story short. Yes. I did like Ngohiong. I still do. And pretty choosy since the ones we had back at Uni was really really tasty.

I have to admit the one in the photo which is from Red Moon Cafe is definitely good.

And now I'm hungry....*sigh*

169 - The Lonely Light

Here's another light fixture I took when my team went to have dinner on some establishment in IT Park. I am not sure where this was. Probably Sunburst.

I think the one advantage in having an office located here are the number of choices for eating out and again the number of opportunities to take photos (and my secret affinity to light fixtures).
