76 - Resolutions

New Year is often a family affair for me. However since I went home to Tacloban for my cousin's wedding and for Christmas, I stayed in Cebu for the New Year. Further to that, my sister had work on New Year's eve. So I said my good-byes to 2012 with the monsters. More like I spent it trying to calm them down since they kept scrambling under my bed whenever there was a loud fire cracker booming outside the apartment.

And since I'm not much for daylight, slept the entire day away until my sister and I met up with a friend at Parkmall for dinner and in addition; to walk Rebel from the apartment to the mall and vice versa. Healthier living and all that.

I am not really one for resolutions on New Year's day. Well, New Year for me is on my birthday where I make or come up with resolutions for a new year in life. So until then, I am still listing resolutions to work on before that day.

Burning Candles on January

It has been a tradition of some sort, that I seem to celebrate the entire month. But what I have held true for a while now is celebrating with anarchists and dreamers alike. Again this year, Menger was not able to make it or anyone else we have invited. I think I have forgotten to invite a few as well now that I think about it.

Another year, of expectations and dreams, the means to fulfilling them or changing them. We’ll see. I guess in a way, I too celebrate my birthday as my personal new year. =) My resolutions are formulated not on the first day of the month  but the first day of my new age.

This year, we went to Bubble Bee. The place is awesome and definitely love the food.

I’ve been coming to this place over and over again. Have not gotten fed up yet. =)

Working on THE LIST

Today I look forward to a new volume in my Life. 2010 has been a struggle and a challenge. 

A disappointment and a bloody battle where my soul and my mind the battlefield. Humanity’s worst faces has been a constant view at work and I often found myself in the middle of being worse, stooping low enough to be as mean and as vengeful…I regret to say, I didn’t like what I was becoming. Thus this New Year is my ticket to a better me.

I mean, don’t we all want to be better than who we are? =) And it’s a thing to go, resolutions would be a great way to actually work on “The List”. And people, It’s THE LIST. SO yeah, I’m going to put my cards on resolution for 2011.

Despite the fact that I sound like a broken record with my constant nagging of how 2010 is such a drag, I would like to say, that the year has not been fruitless. 

I have met new friends that I can say frequency is not an issue. I am thankful for the opportunity and the moments shared.

Also to great old friends, with whom I never have to pretend to be nicer, to seem happier, to be stronger.
