After Grumpy’s First Birthday Party at Ayala, McDonalds, my friend Lane and I decided to hang out at a coffee shop to…Talk. Typical coffee date talking of everything and nothing.
Since it was a Sunday, and mind you, Ayala Center…all coffee shops were teeming with people. So we forgo to have desserts on a quiet food shop. We found ourselves at the ground floor level of the Terraces and entered Maitre Chocolatier.
No better dessert than chocolate right?
Love their menus and the little tidbits on the history and health impact of the confection. Mind you, what I do remember: It does not cause obesity when consumed non excessively. (to define excess would then be anybody else’s perspective).
There were some interesting food, that I never thought to ever go with chocolate such as pasta with chocolate chili sauce, or white chocolate carbonara. My mind can’t still wrap around some stuff. However, love the names they’ve come up for their dishes. i.e. Guiltless Sin. (yummy)
Sadly, since we came from a party and have already eaten we stuck to desserts and ordered only a dark chocolate marble crepe, dark chocolate drink (that seem to come in a soup cup…should have been called dark chocolate soup)and another dessert whose name escapes me right now.
Food presentation was definitely pretty.

Should another opportunity come up where we can stop over Maitre Chocolatier again, I’ll definitely try a different set of munchies.
